Rita Rae Trauger

Rita Rae Trauger, age 75, of Mankato, died on September 22, 2024 at MCHS, Mankato. 

Celebration of Life will be held on October 3, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. prior to the service at Northview. Memorials are preferred to BENCHS.

Rita was born on June 7, 1949 in Mankato to Raymond and Nilla (Nielsen) Hansen. She graduated from Mankato High in 1967 and attended Mankato State College. Rita was a Detention Deputy with the Blue Earth and Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department. She finished her career working at Jake’s Stadium Pizza. Rita had a love for animals and adopted many over the years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved texting with emoji’s. ❤️❤️

Rita is survived by her children with Ronald Trauger, James (Kristine), Joe (Kelleen), and Rochelle (Trevor) Baumgartner; grandchildren, Karenna, Kay, Nilla, Lily-Anne, Marin, Cecillia, and Holton; other loving family members, Jim, Eva, Laura, Kathy, Mike, Lisa, Bonnie, JoAnne, and Dan. She was preceded in death by her parents and Raymond and Tim.
