Robert "Bob" William Stone

Robert “Bob” William Stone passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Mankato, surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., Friday September 20, 2024 at Mankato Mortuary. 

Bob was born April 22, 1941 in Superior, WI to Horace and Agnes (Anderson) Stone. He spent a large part of his life on the family dairy farm in South Range, WI. He married Mary (Ross) Ryan on September 13, 1975, welcoming her children Jill and Ken into his life. Together they had Annie and Rob. In 1977, they moved to West Concord, MN to take over a poultry farm from a cousin. After farming, he worked for the City of West Concord, Triton Middle School, and Loring Green Condominiums. He and Mary finally retired to Madison Lake in 2010.

Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary of Madison Lake, MN, daughter Jill Ryan of Madison Lake, MN, son Ken Ryan (Sue Kee) of Rochester, MN, daughter Annie Stone of St. Paul, MN, and son Rob Stone (Trisha Osheim) of Winnebago, MN; grandchildren, Krissy (Jennings) Brommerich, Joe Ryan, Leah (Anthony) Lovejoy, and Alan Liudahl; great-granddaughter, Hailey Ryan; sister Frances Tierney of Eden Prairie, MN, sister Lore Stone of Phoenix, AZ, sister Sandie Stone of Green Valley, AZ, brother Kurt Stone (Denise) of Rapid City, SD and brother-in-law Jamie (Terry) Ross of Superior, WI; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Horace and Agnes Stone, in-laws James and Louise Ross; brother-in-law Peter Tierney, brother-in-law, Tom Kramer.
