Robert "Bob" Burton Wilson

Robert Burton Wilson, age 91, of Delavan, died Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Mapleton Community Home.

Funeral service will be held at 11am, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at United Church of Mapleton with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Please share a memory of Bob with his family and view his service livestreamed at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Bob was born November 21, 1929 in Minnesota Lake to Rex and Myrtle (Nelson) Wilson. He was united in marriage to Georgia Moore on September 26, 1950 in Blue Earth. They were blessed with eight children. Bob was a hardworking farmer his entire life. He was loving, caring, generous, and family-oriented. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife of over 71 years, Georgia; children Diane (Denny) Schroeder, Cindy (Steve) Massop, Brenda (Craig) Timmerman, Cheryl (Dan) Haugh, Bob (Bev) Wilson, Patrice (Mike) Falck, and Jolene Hopkins; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild on the way; and daughter-in-law, Tracey Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Wilson; granddaughter, Megan Hopkins; son-in-law, Max Hopkins; and 4 siblings.
