Robert Heinze

Robert George Heinze, 73, of Mankato, passed into his eternal home to be with his Savior on August 12, 2020 after 20 years of battling Parkinson’s Disease.

Funeral service will be 10:00a.m., August 20, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., in North Mankato and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Eagle Lake Cemetery. The family prefers memorials be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or donor’s choice. Robert grew up on his family farm near Lake Crystal before attending the University of Minnesota. He returned to farm with his father, Donald Heinze, and continued farming until the onset of Parkinson’s. He also drove for FedEx in Mankato for 25 years. Robert took great joy in being a father. He was also involved with his church, enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

Robert is survived by his wife, Nancy of 33 years; son, Nathan (Caitlin) of Roseville, CA; daughter, Rachel of Madison, WI; brother, Dennis (Julie) Heinze; brother-in-law, Lee Barry; and parents-in-law, Roland and Zada Utzinger all of Mankato; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ruth Heinze; sister, Janet Barry; and sister-in-law, Marian Heinze.
