Ronald L. Hokanson, age 75, of Mankato, died Saturday, May 20, 2023, at his home, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
A Private Family service will be held later.
Ronald was born September 21, 1947, to Hartley R. and Barbara A. (Hottinger) Hokanson in Mankato.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn A. Sanford on June 15, 1974, in St. Peter, MN. .

Ronald enjoyed his log cabin, cutting wood and cruising around the woods. He had a passion for cars, trucks and all things with an engine and you could usually find him out in the pole shed on the weekends with friends working on projects.
Ron enjoyed family and always had a proud smile, pop and treats for his grandchildren. On Sundays, they would often drop by the farm (Kevin and Donna’s) for coffee and donuts. He enjoyed walking around the farm and checking out the current projects and progress being made.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Donna (Kevin) Killion of North Mankato; three grandchildren, Paige (Justin) McCormick, Caden Killion, and Colter Killion and fiancé, Natania Emmons; great-granddaughter, Adeline Grace McCormick; siblings, Tom Hokanson, Sue (Craig) Gilbaugh, and Anita (Steven) Hultengren; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.
