Ruth Ann Capasso, age 79, of Lake Crystal, died Friday, August 30, 2019 at her home.
Graveside Service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday. September 6, at Lake Crystal Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Guiding Light, PO Box 1703, Grand Rapids, MI.
Ruth Ann was born October 7, 1939 to Anton and Margaret E. (Thomas) Olson in Mankato. She grew up in graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1957. Ruth Ann married Robert Capasso on July 6, 1963 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal. Ruth Ann was employed for 25 years with the Internal Revenue Service as a revenue officer before retiring. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Crystal and attended the Cambria Presbyterian Church, Cambria. She enjoyed going out with her high school classmates, exercise class and coffee, bible study group, Federal Retirees group, playing cards with her brother and others in New Ulm. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Ruth Ann is survived by her two sons, Robert Capasso of Grand Rapids, MI and Marc Capasso of Winter Haven, FL; three grandchildren, Nicholas Capasso of Grand Rapids, MI, Matthew Capasso of Oklahoma City, OK, and Emily Capasso of Winter Haven, FL; brother, Donald (Eunice) Olson of New Ulm; nieces and nephews; special friends, Ted and Tracey Boraas of North Mankato.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert on March 20, 2007.
