Sandra Lee "Nanny" Baynes

Sandra Lee “Nanny” Baynes, age 76, of Madison Lake, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato surrounded by her loved ones.

Celebration of Life for her family will be held at a later date.

Sandra Lee, the daughter of Adlor and Phyllis (Wilson) Olsen, was born on November 5, 1946 in Mankato. She married the love of her life and soulmate Tom “Papa” Baynes on September 3, 1988 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family and spoiling her granddaughters and great grandson. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughters, Jackie Brodin and Jamie Jakobe; granddaughters, Ashley (Alex) LaBlanc, Cassandra Brodin and Megan Frederick;  great grandson, Lane; brother and best friend, Tim Olsen and his sons, Dana Olsen and Troy (Kayla) Olsen and their two children, Hayden and Addilyn; siblings in law, Bruce Baynes, Deb (Bob) Devlaeminck, Brenda (Jim) Tacheny, Doris (Stormy) Burns, Tim Baynes, Barb (Tim) Haley, Brian (Leiha) Baynes, David (Chris) Baynes, and Lisa (Beth) Baynes; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adlor and Phyllis Olsen; parents in law, Marshall and Joyce Baynes; niece, Jennifer Haley; and nephew, Corey Haley.
