Sarah L. Springer

Sarah Lucretia was born September 9, 1933 in Gary, Indiana to Warden and Helen (Metz) Deeter. They lived in Merrillville, IN where she graduated from high school. While attending school, she met her lifelong sweetheart, Bill Springer; they married in 1954. The couple moved to the Mankato area, and Sarah worked for 9 years at the Gem Den in St. James, and later Save Mor Jewelry in Mankato for 23 years before retiring. Sarah enjoyed bowling, golfing as a member of Southview Country Club, doing cross-stich and sewing. She loved to laugh and was loved by all who met her. 

Left to remember Sarah are her daughter, Peggy (Rick) Anderson of Mankato; sisters: Joanna Matos of CA, and Shirley Forney-Bates of Crown Point, IN; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 1993; and a brother, Hank Deeter.
