Sharon Lee Johnson, age 79, of Mankato, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her home. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Monday August 12, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will take place in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Mankato. Northview – North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sharon Lee Johnson was born on June 8, 1940 to Lorraine A. Strusz and LeRoy L. Gosewisch in Mankato MN. She attended Mankato High School Graduating in 1958. In 1964 she attended and graduated from Beauty school.

Sharon married Earldean R. Johnson in 1959-1971. Together they raised three children, Todd, Cheryl and Pamela. She enjoyed her Beauty Salon that she operated from 1965-2000, owned and operated a Ceramic Shop for 9 years, helping special need adults for 7 years, along with baking, making candy, cooking and fishing. She later married Ronald Stanger (1984-1996). They enjoyed living in their lake home near St. Cloud. In 1996 she moved back to Mankato starting her new adventure with MAHA where she sold pull tabs to patrons at the North Mankato Post 518 Legion before moving to Hooligans; retiring in April 2019.

Sharon is survived by her children, Todd (Mary) Johnson of Mankato, Cheryl Reichert of Colorado and Pamela (Dan) Hill of Mankato; two sisters, Susan (Duane) Kawell of Faribault and Lana (Charles) Pickett of Mankato; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 5 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her special friend of 15 years, Ron Malecha.
