Sharon was born on April 2, 1941, in Breckenridge, MN to Walter and Eleanor (Terhurne) Cremers. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1959, and then attended the St. Benedict School of Nursing in Breckenridge. Sharon married Gary Pauly in 1961 and from that union came two children, Kevin and Kelly. They made their home in Marshall, MN. She later married Paul Kirsh in 1984. Sharon moved to Tucson, AZ, and later married Paul “Pete” Peterson in 1998. She moved to Mankato in 2017 to be closer to her children, and grandchildren.
Sharon was an avid golfer, proudly scoring four holes-in-one. Her hobbies also included baking and cooking; her cinnamon rolls were a crowd pleaser. She enjoyed singing for church, including numerous weddings and funerals. Her favorite song was Ave Maria, which she shared at both of her children’s weddings and her parents’ funerals. When she finally retired after 54 years of hospital nursing, she spent her final years volunteering for Hospice, playing golf, enjoying get-togethers with friends, playing cards, and singing.
Sharon is survived by her children, Kevin (special friend, Alissa) Pauly, Kelly (Marc) Jensen; grandchildren, Tyler (Lisa) Pauly, Jack (Jessica) Pauly, Blake (Courtney) Jensen, and Taylor (Alex) Umhoefer; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Lincoln, Jack, Wilson, and Baker; siblings, Thomas (Judy) Cremers, Michael (Carlene) Cremers, and Douglas (Sandy) Cremers, as well as many nieces, and nephews who were cherished and loved.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; brother, Richard Cremers, and nephews, Jamie Cremers, Michael Cremers, and Mark Cremers.
Sharon wishes God’s blessings to all her family and friends.
