Shirley Ann Donovan

Our beloved Mom, Shirley Ann (Schrupp) Donovan, gained her earned angel wings on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

Our mom was born September 29, 1937, to Ben and June Schrupp in Henderson, MN where she also grew up and graduated high school. She and her late ex-husband had six children. Our mom raised her six children as a single mother, by working three jobs to provide the best life she could for her children. Our mom often said, “my children are my greatest accomplishment in life.”  Our mom taught her children what hard work, strength, and courage were all about. Even to her last day she worried about her children.

Our Mom leaves to her memory her children, Kevin (Denise) Donovan of Mapleton, Nancy (Tom) Walters of Mapleton, Mike (Julie) Donovan of Holly Ridge, North Carolina, Brian (Lisa) Donovan of Stillwater, MN and Patty (Kevin) Roeker of Janesville, MN.  Her children blessed her life every day along with her twelve grandchildren who later blessed her with ten great-grandchildren. Her 52-year friendship with Ann Wrucke filled her life with joy.

Our Mom’s services will be held at 3pm, Friday, March 25, 2022, at Mankato Mortuary with visitation two hour prior. Our Mom will be laid to rest in Henderson, MN. A place she always called home.  

We love you Mom and thank you for the life you gave each of us. You did good Mom. Fly high with the angels.
