Shirley A Izen

Shirley A. Izen, age 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by both her mother and father.

Shirley Izen was born in Mankato, July 3, 1936 to Anthony (Tony) and Rachel (Rae) (Abdo) Izen. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy. She had a long career with Northwestern Bell while residing either in Mankato, Owatonna or Bloomington, Mn. She retired in Mankato, MN, was a member of St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic church and active in the choir. A special thanks to New Perspectives, Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center, Freedom Home Care Advocates and Mayo Clinic Hospice staff for all their dedicated service to Shirley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel, Mankato. The Rev. Michael Izen officiating. There will be no visitation, the service will be preceded by a rosary at 30 minutes before the service.

She is survived by many cousins.
