Shyrll G. Lindteigen, age 84, of Bismarck, ND, died Sunday, April 13, 2025.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., April 24, 2025, at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Mankato Mortuary assisted with arrangements.

Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Research.

Shyrll was born July 24, 1940, to George E. W. and Ellen A. (Sundbakken) Borgen in Minot, ND. She grew up on a farm near Ruso, ND with her three siblings and graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1957. She then attended airline stewardess school in Minneapolis and then returned to work in Minot.

Shyrll married Wayne L. Lindteigen on July 31, 1958, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Benedict, ND. Shyrll was a homemaker for her family for many years until she started her dream job as a tour director with Satrom Travel, Mandan, ND. Shyrll traveled to all 50 states and all over the world exploring with the many people she toured with.

Shyrll was a very active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bismarck, where she served in various capacities. She volunteered at the North Dakota Heritage Center at the state capital for over 25 years.

Shyrll loved reading, writing poems, collecting rocks, walking, and dancing eight step polka.

Shyrll is survived by her husband, Wayne; three children, Jolene “Jo” (David) Klein of Lake Crystal, MN, Lonnie Lindteigen and Jerri (Rick) Hojian all of Bismarck, ND; eight grandchildren, Jordan Klein, Kylan (Jess) Klein, Heather (Matt) Blackowiak, Justin (Gretchen) Lindteigen, Ryan Lindteigen, Joshua Begley, Danielle Begley, and Jessalyn Begley; seventeen grandchildren; three siblings, Arden (Margaret) Borgen, Georgean (Myron) Lick, and Greg (Suzanne) Borgen; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Shyrll was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter-in-law, Laurie Lindteigen.
