Sonia Vinola Trieschman

Sonia Vinola Trieschman of Lake Crystal, MN died on July 3, 2021.

Private family burial will be at Lake Crystal Cemetery. Lake Crystal Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.  

She was born on August 14, 1934 in Winona, MN to Delmar and Vinola (Williams) Splittstoesser. She married Robert Wayne Trieschman on April 3, 1954. He died in 2003.

She lived in 9 communities – Winona, Janesville and St. Charles in Minnesota. Then in Mondovi and Barron in Wisconsin and Minneapolis, Mankato, North Mankato, and Lake Crystal in Minnesota.

In her adult life, she was an x-ray technician, a teacher’s aide, a quilter, and a volunteer. She was also a voracious reader and competitive scrabble player. Sonia was a longtime member and choir member of the First United Methodist Church/Cornerstone UMC of Lake Crystal.

She is survived by a son, Michael (Jane) Trieschman and a daughter, Lissa Meyer. Her grandchildren are Molly Trieschman, Alex Meyer, and Ashley Meyer. She is also survived by a brother, Clair (Jennifer) Splittstoesser and sisters, Karen Frisinger and Marlys (Fred) Guthier, also by cousins and many good friends.

She liked to laugh.
