Steven James Brown

Steven J. Brown, age 73, of Lake Crystal, died on December 1, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. 

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal. Interment will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery at a later date. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. 

Steve was born on June 22, 1951 in Mankato to James and Lois (Kopischke) Brown. On April 15, 1972, Steve was united in marriage to Deb Reasor in Lake Crystal. Steve worked for Hendley Inc., RW Carlstrom, and owned and operated Profinish Drywall LLC. After retirement, Steve worked for Nickel Transportation. Steve loved fishing and taking his yearly trip up north with family. He was a handyman who could fix absolutely anything. Most of all, Steve loved spending time with his family. 

Steve is survived by his wife, Deb; son, Jason (Kim) Brown; daughter, Steph (Toney) Honeycutt; grandchildren, Brady, Ashley, Jazlin, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Harper, Owen, Rowan, Caskey, and baby boy on the way; sister, Kathy (Charlie) Lewis; brother, Jeff Brown; sister-in-law, Pat Brown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Stephanie; and brother, Michael.
