Steven Dale Potz, age 66, passed away on February 9, 2022.
Steve was born in Mankato to Harlan J. and Margaret I. Potz. He went to school in Eagle Lake, Minneapolis, Brooklyn Center, and Springfield, Missouri, where he graduated High School. He and brother Jim relocated to the Dover, Arkansas area with their parents and they both helped to build the Potz family home on Linker Mountain. He is survived by two sisters, Barbara (Mark) Cleare and Mary (Michael) Wayman, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, grandparents and his brother Jim who died just three weeks before him on January 20, 2022. He moved back to the Twin Cities in the 1980's where he started his career with Abbott Hospital as a CRCST (certified registered central service technician.) He worked for 30 years with many good staff members. He truly enjoyed his work and joking with coworker, Joe Moore. His love of collecting art and antiques became a favorite pastime with best friend, Rob Nelson A voracious reader since childhood. We and many cousins will remember those fun times at Grandma and Grandpa's farm for holiday celebrations. We will miss his sweet demeanor and sometimes teasing personality. May his memory be a blessing. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association.
A celebration of life service for both Steven and James will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2022 at Northview~North Mankato Mortuary. There will be time to visit with the family immediately following the service.
