Susan M. Marx

Susan Marie Marx, age 60, of rural Madison Lake, died peacefully Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at her home, surrounded by family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday at Mankato Mortuary. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing will be observed, masks are encouraged and the number of visitation and service guests allowed will be monitored.

Susan was born March 23, 1960 to Kenneth Eugene, Sr. and Virginia (Hoffman) Gimmer in Mankato. She was united in marriage to Greg Marx on January 26, 1980 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. Susan had been employed by Perkin’s, Woolworth’s, E.F. Johnson, and for over 25 years with Carlson Craft before retiring. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Sue enjoyed flower gardening, her dogs, family gatherings, shopping, gambling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her husband, Greg; four children, Jonathan Marx of Mankato; Dan (Heather) Marx of Janesville, Chad (Kim) Christenson of Richmond, VA, and Dale Marx of Mankato; mother, Virginia Gimmer of Mankato; three siblings, Linda (Ron) Hummer of Mapleton, Ken Jr. (Dezata) Gimmer of Mankato, Brian (Linda Fischenich) Gimmer of North Mankato; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Caden, Molly, Max, Alexander, Dominik, and Bennon; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth in 2015; brother, Kevin in 2005.
