Thelma L. Lotton

Thelma L. Lotton, age 90, of North Mankato, died on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Birchwood Cottages in North Mankato.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Northview.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato.

Thelma was born on February 4, 1929 in Ceylon, MN to Jess and Pearl (Stringer) Showers.  On October 6, 1951, Thelma was united in marriage to Robert Lotton in Huron, S.D.  She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato.  Thelma enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking.  She loved dogs.  Most of all, Thelma loved spending time with her family. 

Thelma is survived by two sons, Allen (Pam) Showers of Kasota and Leslie (special friend, Jeanne Ternes) Lotton of Mankato; daughter, Sharon (Gary) Otto of Mankato; nine grandchildren, Robert, Tanya (Todd), Chet, Kyli (special friend, Dean), Jesse (Mike), Dustin (Toni), Wade (Andrea), Nick (Molly), Sara (Chris), and Todd (Betsy); 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ora May Doyen; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Robert; grandson, Rick; daughter-in-law, Laurie; and sister, Myrtle (Alvin) Plumhoff. 

Thelma’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Birchwood Cottages for the wonderful care they provided.
