Thomas J. Browne, age 67, of Mankato, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Tom was born on November 4, 1951 to Truman and Suzanne (Nelson) Silrum. After his father’s death, his mother relocated to Mankato and married Robert M. Browne who adopted Tom. Tom graduated from MSU Mankato and began his lifetime career at Midwest Realty.  As a real estate broker, Tom helped hundreds of area families find their perfect home. Tom was active in his community, his personable nature and quick wit endeared him to everyone he met.  Tom loved family, enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, reading and was passionate about the study of civil war history.  

Tom is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Alissa (Steve) Lawrence, Daniel Browne (Jennyffer), Robert (Julie) Browne; grandchildren, Addison, Ellery, Yadel, Jenascia, Thomas, and Maya; sister, Marsha Heller; and brother, James (Cam) Browne. Tom was preceded in death by his birth father, Truman and his parents, Bob and Sue Browne and infant sister, Ann.
