Thomas Joseph O’Connell, 61, born Sept. 20, 1958 Chicago, IL died June 12, 2020 in Mankato, MN.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. O’Connell, and is survived by his mother, Mary O’Connell, brothers, Robert & Sean O’Connell, and sisters, Sheila Lockwood, Eileen and Cathleen O’Connell as well as nieces and nephews, Patrick, Patrice, Kevin, Kelly and Naomi O’Connell.

Tom, to say you were bigger than life would be an understatement. From remembering the lyrics, year, and artist to a song you heard 50 years ago, to the Great Cereal Caper of 2020, you never ceased to amaze, astound, or create laughter. Despite your disability there was an amazing mind at work inside of you. Anyone who ever met you was immediately aware of that fact.

To our big brother… your earthly labors are done. Your long struggle has been kindly relieved and put to rest. Be now at ease and find the peace you so deserved in life. Go with love and know you are greatly missed.

A private family service will be held.
