Tom was born on November 2, 1945 in Long Prairie, MN to Stanley and Elizabeth Wyrowski. He graduated from Little Falls High School and later, South Central Technical College. Tom served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967. On June 26, 1971, Tom was united in marriage to Mary Clare Dutkiewicz at St. Valentine’s Catholic Church in Peru, IL. They lived in Indianapolis, IN briefly before moving to Mankato, where they would remain to live, work and raise their family. Tom worked at Babson Brothers in Chicago, IL, and Doring Brothers, JC Marlow Dairy Equipment, and Brennan Construction in Mankato before retiring in 2011.

Throughout his life, Tom loved hunting and fishing, and anything outdoors. Weeks at deer camp and fishing with his grandkids were some of his favorite times. He was an extremely skilled carpenter and spent countless hours in his shop. He could build or fix almost anything, and loved woodworking, creating pieces that family and friends will treasure forever. Tom loved aviation and had his pilot's license for a period of time. He was extremely proud of his membership in the United States Parachute Association, with one of the earliest license numbers, following many jumps in the army. It was a hobby he loved, and proudly took up again in his 60s. He was also an avid skier and was honored to serve with the National Ski Patrol for 30 years. He was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, volunteering in various capacities for many years, and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom was a friend to everyone he met and loved to talk and share stories. His favorite role was Grandpa, and he cherished times with his four grandchildren, whether teaching them to fish, cheering them on in their activities, or just enjoying some ice cream.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Clare of North Mankato; daughter, Kristin (Noah) Brand of Rosemount, MN; grandchildren, Madeline, Abigail, and Isaac Brand and Kaeleigh Wyrowski; siblings, Ted (Cretia) Wyrowski and Barb Spychalla; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ann Ohmit; and son, Jeremy.
