Tony D. Thompson, age 60, from North Mankato, Minnesota, was killed in a tragic work-related accident on November 19, 2019 in New Brighton, Minnesota.
Tony was exceptional. He was a loving father, husband, and grandfather. He was a warm, kind, and generous man with a laugh that lit up rooms and hearts. Tony was in retail management for over 30 years before recently embarking on a new career as a commercial truck driver.
Tony is survived by his wife, Robin; daughter, Abby (Jared); son, Alex; grandchildren, Maddie, Harrison, and Owen; and his siblings, Jenny (Dave) and Scott (Teresa).
Life celebration will be held in the spring. Memorial gifts can be sent to Minneopa State Park, where Tony loved to camp, laugh with friends, and drink a glass of single malt scotch by the fire. Just don’t tell the DNR about the scotch!
