Valdon "Val" L. Wigley

Valdon Lloyd Wigley, age 92, a lifelong Lake Crystal area resident, died Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Crystal. Visitation will be one hour before service on Friday. Interment will be in Minneopa Cemetery, rural Mankato. Lake Crystal Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Val was born July 3, 1927 to Clinton J. and Blodwen E. (Lloyd) Wigley in rural Lake Crystal. Val graduated from Lake Crystal High School. Val served his country with the U.S. Army. Val was united in marriage to Vera Mae Randall on August 22, 1969 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal. Val was a lifelong farmer on his family farm in rural Lake Crystal. He also did custom excavation work with his caterpillar for many years. Val was a member of the Lake Crystal American Legion and he enjoyed watching softball and spending winters in Arizona.

Val is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Val was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Mae on June 5, 2015; his parents; and a brother, Myron J. in 1949.
