Vickie Louise "Vic" Meixner

Vickie Louise “Vic” Meixner, age 63, lifelong resident of Mankato, died on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the Mayo Clinic Health System of Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato and will continue at the church for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

Vickie Louise, the daughter of Thomas and Lois (Anderson) Reynolds, was born on February 14, 1957 in Mankato. She graduated from Loyola High School. On October 12, 1974 she married Thomas Meixner at the Newman Center in Mankato. She was previously employed at Shopko for 20 years and Navitor for 17 years. Vic was a member of Ducks Unlimited and VINE Faith in Action. She enjoyed cooking, baking with her granddaughter, Olivia, driving her children to sporting events, reading, watching General Hospital, decorating the house for the holidays, traveling to California, and spending time with family. Tom and Vic enjoyed spending time with their Cove family at Anderson’s Cove on Leech Lake. Vic will be remembered for her contagious smile and her banana cream pie.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tom Meixner of Mankato; sons, Patrick Meixner of Mankato, Robert (Jackie) of North Mankato and their children, Hunter and Olivia, and Tony (Jeni) Meixner of Mankato and their baby girl on the way; great grandson, Cody Dahl; mother, Lois Reynolds of Mankato; siblings, Jane (Denny) Wanous of North Mankato, Chuck (Lisa) Reynolds of St. Louis Park, Deb Reynolds of Watkins, and Jim Reynolds of Mankato; brother in law, Mark (Gina) Meixner of Nisswa; sister in law, Mary (Cris) Christensen of Fitchburg, WI; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her Cove family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Reynolds; grandson, Jay Thomas Meixner; and parents in law, Mark and Dorothy Meixner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Meixner family or the donor’s choice.
