Please share a memory of Jack with his family online at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Jack was born January 15, 1945, to Stanley and Helen (Murawski) Nawrocki. He grew up on a farm in Martin County and attended school in Granada, MN. After graduation from high school, he attended Mankato State College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Sociology.

Jack was united in marriage to Linda Miller on September 2, 1967. In June of 1968, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He received his training as a Morse Code Intercept Operator in Biloxi, Mississippi. It was at this time that his wife, Linda, was able to join him for the remainder of his military career. Upon completing his training, his first tour of duty was in Crete, Greece. His second tour of duty was near London, England. It was there that his sons, Phil and Jeff, were born. He was honorably discharged in 1972. He and Linda then returned to Minnesota with their young sons to begin raising their family.

During his forty-two year professional life, he was employed in the transportation industry and then as a financial advisor. Throughout his working years, Jack was always involved with his church, the Mankato community, and his political party. He served on the parish council at church, was president of the Mankato Area Chamber of Commerce, chaired ACT 2000, served on the Mankato City Council for eight years, and was a state convention delegate for his favorite political party. Jack retired in 2012. In his retirement years, Jack enjoyed the winters he and Linda spent in Florida and their visits to presidential libraries and museums.

Over the years, he enjoyed the times spent hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren, rock ‘n roll music and dances, officiating high school football games, and reading. Jack was always a conservationist at heart. With his sons working beside him, they took the opportunity to develop a 16 acre wooded area for wildlife on the family farm where he grew up. Our memory and love for him will last forever.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; twin sons, Phillip (Robin) and Jeffrey (Julie); one granddaughter, Morgan; and three grandsons, Collin, Peyton, and Carson. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Orr; and a brother, Joe (Carole) Nawrocki.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jerome “Jerry” and Robert “Bob”.
